The back of the packaging tells the real story

Really good article from Whole dog Journal. Definitely worth the read as it defines what you should look for in a dog food or cat food that actually matters.

Marketing has taken over especially since all of the recalls. The amount of supplements ie; probiotics, prebiotics, joint formulas etc promised in the foods do not truly meet daily requirements and also may not survive the packing process. So don’t just read the front of the label read the back and the ingredients. Even on more holistic brands the ingredients should be read. ie; Indoor and outdoor cat food is not really all that different… So read the ingredients and consult a canine or feline nutritionist for additional assistance.  Happy Feeding
